Upcycled Plastic Bottle Planters

While surfing the web I came across a cool idea for re-using plastic soda bottles. It is so simple, anyone can do it. They are not an eyesore and they stand on their own. Basically you just need to remove the label, cut the bottle and with the cap still on , add soil and your seedling. Next, when the soil is packed in correctly and the seedling is secure, remove the cap and insert your soil filled planter (top of bottle) into the base (bottom of bottle) along with an inch or two of water.

You can get a little window herb garden growing in no time. Please visit Green Scraper's Flickr page and read more about these planters here: Inside Urban Green.
